Engaging Music Movement Sessions. Fun learning time for preschool aged children. Tony Genovese is a registered teacher with a Bachelor of Education in music. He has taught music in schools for 17 years up until 2008. For the last 10 years he started his own business called Cool 4 Kids. As part of this he has been running regular private music sessions at child care centres.
Learning through Music and Movement with Cool 4 Kids
Music has long been regarded as an important part of early childhood education. Firstly, music is a powerful tool for learning and development. It encourages babies, toddlers and kindergarten aged children to connect with others. Secondly, it helps children with expressing themselves. Thirdly, it assists in helping children explore and make meaning through their senses.
Expressing ourselves through Music and Movement
Tony has been presenting monthly music and movement sessions at Mackinnon Parade Children’s Centre for ten years. Similarly for three years he has been presenting at The Learning Sanctuary Norwood and The Learning Sanctuary Thebarton. He also runs fortnightly music sessions at the Green Leaves Early Learning Centres in Mawson Lakes, Seaford Heights and Seaford House. Nurture One and Felixstow World of Learning run other fortnightly sessions with him. Findon Community Centre has Tony present once a month on a Wednesday. This session runs from 10:15 to 10:45 am and is open to the public. In the past he has presented weekly and fortnightly programs at Kidz Club in Modbury, Elizabeth North Primary School and Elizabeth Vale Primary School.
