Perth Royal Show

Loads of busy activities for the children. Cooking classes for kids. Dig for potatoes. See the giant tractor. Play in the sand pits. Discover more about dirt. Sing and dance along with Cool 4 Kids. These stage shows will occur at four times during the day. Starting at 10:45am with songs about farming and food. Next at 12:15pm learning about farm animals and life on the farm. Later on at 1:45pm use puppets and explore facts about horses, cows and farm dogs. Finally at 3:15pm explore the stars and moon under the giant parachute. Be part of the five letters in a line song. A is for apple. E is in egg. I is in ice-cream. O is in healthy oats. U is in udon noodles. The weather is beautiful in Perth. There is so much to see and do for the whole family!
At the end of the school holidays join in the Sand SA walk with us. Together we walk the steps our precious babies never took. This is a day to come together to remember our babies and find connection with other bereaved parents. The event will include a memorial service during which you will be invited to come forward & say your baby’s or babies name/s. The service will be followed by a ceremonial Walk to ‘take the steps our babies could not’, generally a 10-15 minute short walk. This year we will be introducing a new tradition, a massed display of pinwheels rather than releasing live butterflies. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. After the service and Walk, we will be staying to watch Adelaide landmarks be lit up for International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day. For personalised t-shirts and singlets, we are partnering with A Cut Above Byron who will sell shirts directly and make a donation per garment to Sands. Orders need to be received by 30 September at the latest to allow for postage time. Register here and support this wonderful cause. Cool 4 Kids will provide face painting and balloon twisting for the children.
Hopefully you will find lots of ideas for the October School holidays. Take the time to enjoy unique activities. Have fun and engage with your family. Get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. Stimulate the senses while your children learn and grow.
